“IT and digital initiatives are developing at an incredible rate, old roles and jobs are disappearing and new ones being created all the time. The e-CF provides a framework that can be used as a benchmark for today and also to show the skills and competences required for the future. Aligning e-CF with job profiles will help companies and individuals with skill and career development. We would also like to see these aligned to academic, vocational and professional qualifications to provide a single point of truth for ICT and digital competencies.”

Promanad

The Netherlands

Promanad – educational and content services – uses the e-CF as a very useful tool to design and structure ICT programs, curricula and exams. The e-CF provides a clear direction for the formulation of learning outcomes, exam questions and to the content of lessons and practical assignments. The fact that the levels of e-CF relate to EQF helps to define different levels of complexity in a study program, that is recognizable to accreditation bodies, but also to employers and businesses.
