The Cisco Networking Academy courses are designed to improve employability of graduates in IT jobs. Networking Academy courses are used by public education institutions across Europe. The e-CF is used to align with European standards in IT professions.
Cisco is an active stakeholder in the national implementation of the e-CF in several European countries. In Germany we support the DIN NA 043-02-02 AA “Kompetenzen in der IKT-Branche”. Furthermore we have asked EXIN to investigate and to match the Cisco industry certifications CCENT and CCNA with the e-CF
Promanad – educational and content services – uses the e-CF as a very useful tool to design and structure ICT programs, curricula and exams. The e-CF provides a clear direction for the formulation of learning outcomes, exam questions and to the content of lessons and practical assignments. The fact that the levels of e-CF relate to EQF helps to define different levels of complexity in a study program, that is recognizable to accreditation bodies, but also to employers and businesses.
ECDL Lithuania offers a range of products related to IT Certifications and sees the merit of potential links between their programs and e-CF. They assess this linkage as a valuable experience as their programs extend to the other Baltic countries and the Russian-language region.
e-Skills training and certifications become easier to understand and compare by comparing learning outcomes with the e-competences defined in the e-Competence Framework (e-CF) and with the IT Profiles of the CEN Workshop on IT Skills. 50 common industry certifications have been mapped systematically against the e-CF.

Digital Education Institution (DEI), Institute for Information Industry (III), Republic of China (Taiwan) DEI is the largest ICT training center in Taiwan. DEI’s mission is to foster high-quality professional talents and to nurture ICT talents to meet the industry’s needs. To promote the digital transformation of the industry, DEI applies e-CF to the planning of engineer’s competence architecture, competence assessment, and education training. DEI constructs the enterprise’s digital transformation competence standard and establishes the competence assessment and development system refer to e-CF. Further learning roadmap and training sessions for specific enterprises could be developed in accordance with the standard and system above.

IT Performance House is working on centralized IT exams in The Netherlands to reduce regional differences and to ensure competence levels for intermediate vocational education in the IT sector. The e-CF is considered as an important tool to achieve this.
