Carlos E. Budde is an assistant professor at the University of Trento,
Italy, in the cybersecurity group of the Department of Engineering and
Information Science.

He received his PhD degree in Argentina, specialising in simulation
analyses of formal (stochastic and timed) models. In 2017 he moved to The Netherlands, to employ formal methods for risk management in the University of Twente, including scientific applications in safety and security assessment.

In 2021 he took his current position at the University of Trento,
where he also performs as WP6 leader in the project “Cyber Security
for Europe”, which is laying the foundations of what will become the
EU Cyber Competence Network.
