The European Parliament has published a study on the ‘Opportunities of AI’, which focuses on presenting the technological impact and regulatory state of play in the EU. It highlights industrial areas in which AI will bring significant socioeconomic benefits and presents a methodology for scrutinising the fitness of the EU policy and regulatory framework. Among the main recommendations are fostering the use of AI in industry, and furthering scrutiny of EU legislation in the context of AI, including the ethical and legal aspects.
