1. Background
    • The Council of European Professional Informatics Societies (CEPIS) is the representative body of national informatics associations throughout greater Europe with an address at Rue des Colonies 11, 1000 Brussels, Belgium and registered at Belgisch centrum van Werkzaamheden; Registration no. 0880.146.12
    • IT Professionalism Europe (ITPE), an initiative of CEPIS, is a network of stakeholders committed to the advancement of IT professionalism. The network includes public and private sector experts from critical IT domains, including policy, standards, HR and IT management, as well as education, training and other service providers that support IT professionalism.
    • CEPIS will run a survey of IT professionals under the IT Professionalism Europe initiative.
    • The survey will be sent to a wide range of IT professionals across greater Europe (EU and non-EU).
    • As an incentive to participate in the survey, CEPIS will offer the possibility to win a prize to all participants who opt into the prize draw. Participation in the prize draw will not be required to complete the survey, and survey submissions will not be linked to prize draw entrants.
  2. General Rules & Warranties
    • The CEPIS (ITPE) prize draw will take place on 18 June 2024.
    • No purchase or payment is necessary to enter the prize draw.
    • You may enter the prize draw by choice upon completion of the anonymous ITPE survey.
    • By opting in to the draw, you accept these terms and conditions.
    • You must be 18 or older, an IT Professional and resident in:
      • An EU Member State
      • A non-EU Member of the Council of Europe
      • An Overseas Territory of above-mentioned countries
    • You cannot enter the prize draw if you or a member of your family is an employee of CEPIS or any other company connected with the prize draw.
    • The prize is supplied by Council of European Professional Informatics Societies. CEPIS reserves the right to replace the prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond CEPIS’s control makes it necessary to do so.
    • The prize for the winner is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternative is offered. The prize is non-negotiable. The winner does not have to take up the prize if they don’t want to.
  3. Participant Warranties
    • Upon submission of your details, an entry to the prize draw will be made on your behalf.
    • Completing the survey will not increase your chance of winning.
    • If requested by the promotor, you must verify that you have met the entry criteria. Failure to meet the entry criteria will result in your entry being invalid and/or forfeiture of any prize.
    • Only one entry per person is allowed. Syndicated entries or those made through agents, third parties, organised groups, or using methods such as a computer macro, script or via other automated or mechanical means, processes or devices is prohibited and all such entries will be disqualified, and any prize award will be void.
  4. Results Process
    • There will be four (4) winners drawn. The winners drawn will receive an Amazon gift voucher with a value of (EUR)€40.00 (Forty Euros). No cash alternative will be offered.
    • The winners will be chosen at random by a computer program. After the conclusion of the survey and within the timeframe specified on the survey notice a pseudorandom number generator will be used to generate four numbers between 1 and the total number of prize draw participants. The four numbers will correspond to the consecutive numbers of entries. E.g.,, the number 5 will correspond to the fifth entry received.
    • The winner will be notified by email (using details provided at entry) within the timeframe specified on the survey notice.
  5. Data Consents
    To adhere to local competition regulations, CEPIS must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation, CEPIS will:
    • Collect, store and process your personal data:
      • in order to run and administer the prize draw,
      • for the purposes set out in our Privacy Policy (https://cepis.org/legal/)
      • to determine geographical eligibility to participate
      • for any other purpose set out at the point of collection.
      • to our third party supplier, Amazon, in order to provide the prize.
    • Publish the names and firm names of winners on the CEPIS and/or IT Professionalism Europe website.
    • If you object to any or all of your surname, country and winning entry being published or made available, please contact CEPIS at info@cepis.org. In such circumstances, CEPIS may still be obligated to provide the information and winning entry to a legal authority upon request.
    • Any Personal Data you provide and from which you can be identified is stored securely and confidentially and is processed fairly and lawfully in accordance with applicable Data Protection Laws, namely, the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (the “GDPR”) and the European Communities (Electronic Communications Networks and Services) (Privacy and Electronic Communications) Regulations 2011, and any other applicable law or regulation (including updates) relating to the processing of Personal Data, (the “Data Protection Laws”). By entering the prize draw you consent to such use of your data.
  6. Liabilities
    • CEPIS accepts no responsibility for entries not successfully completed due to a technical fault, including without limitation a technical malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, satellite, network, or server failure of any kind.
    • To the extent permitted by law, CEPIS will have no liability for any claims, losses or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with participation in this prize draw or the allocation or use of a prize.
    • We may suspend, cancel, or amend the prize draw at any time where it becomes reasonably necessary to do so.
  7. Law
    • The prize draw and these terms and conditions are governed by Belgian law, and any dispute arising out of or in connection with the prize draw, or these terms and conditions shall be dealt with exclusively by the Belgian courts.
