Marianne Kolding is research vice president of IDC Europe, based in London. She co-leads IDC’s European Skills Research Practice and the European Skills: Leadership and Capabilities for Digital Transformation subscription service and is a member of the European Future of Work Practice. She is often engaged in custom projects on a variety of subjects and frequently takes on speaking engagements, both for IDC conferences and seminars and on behalf of clients.

Marianne is also responsible for driving excellence across IDC Europe’s standard research subscription services in terms of quality and client engagement. In this role she brings to bear her long experience in managing IDC’s successful European services research business.

Marianne has been in the IT research industry for more than 25 years. Prior to this, she held various positions with IBM and Modulex (a Lego company). She has a master’s degree in international marketing and international trade from Aarhus Business School in Denmark. Her background and experience ensure a wide understanding of issues affecting the IT marketplace, its players, and its customers – and the skills needed for success in the digital era.
